Earlier this month C.E. Williams Middle School in West Ashley was presented with its fourth consecutive Summer Reading Trophy for the best-read middle school in Charleston County. Students and staff read more than 733,000 pages from May until August with 66 percent participation at the school. Special education assistant Karen Karnicky-Parker won second place in the Staff Reading category for Middle Schools of Charleston County School District.
