Starting at the beginning of this month, The Kickin’ Chicken began hosting its seventh Annual Month Of Giving campaign. The Kickin’ Chicken will donate $1 from every appetizer purchased to two West Ashley-based charities. Camp Happy Days, an annual camp for children with cancer, and the Charleston Miracle League, which provides life-changing experience for children and adults with mental and physical challenges through a community supported baseball league, are the beneficiaries of this year’s Kickin’ Chicken Month of Giving campaign. The Summerville Miracle League will also benefit from the fundraiser.
“Since we opened our doors in 1997, we’ve felt a responsibility to support our neighbors and the Lowcountry community who support us,” says Kickin’ Chicken co-owner Chip Roberts. “Each year we host a Month of Giving campaign to help fund these local charities that are very near and dear to our hearts.”
Last year, The Kickin’ Chicken donated more than $20,000 to these organizations. “We are very proud of our employees and sincerely thank our customers as we continue to top our numbers year after year,” says co-owner Bobby Perry.
In it’s seventh year, The Kickin’ Chicken Month of Giving has donated over $210,000 to Lowcountry schools, students and non-profit organizations.
The West Ashley Kickin’ Chicken is located at 1179 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. For more information on it’s Month of Giving campaign or to donate, visit www.kickinchicken.com.
