Celebrate Jamaica as you wine and dine at the 4th Annual SC Reggae Jerk & Wine Festival from 12 noon to 7 pm on Sunday, Aug. 27 at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Meet Chef Ty from Jamaica and enjoy a sample of Jerk chicken paired with a wine sample in your commemorative wine glass. Sway to live music by the Dubplates and Cool G & Lion Soul Reggae Bands as you enjoy Caribbean food from various vendors, purchase wine by the glass or bottle, and play Jamaican games including dominoes and Ludo. The event will be hosted by Wayne Hall of Reggae Vibes Radio and the Wayne Hall Show in Atlanta.
A portion of proceeds will go to benefit Healthy Lifestyle Network, Inc. to help the Shelton Project fight child sexual abuse in Jamaica. Donations of school supplies, soccer balls sizes 3 & 4, and shin guards will also be collected at the event.
Advanced tickets are $25 per person. It includes a wine glass, jerk & wine pair tasting and garden admission to Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. Tickets for Designated Drivers/Young Adults are $15, which also includes garden admission, but a wine glass and the wine tasting are not included. Tickets may be purchased for $35 on the day of the event at the jerk event gate. Children under 12 are free. Parking is free.
