Home Team BBQ’s small expansion at the West Ashley location, 1205 Ashley River Road, is pretty much complete, just in time for fall football season. The expansion takes over the adjoining space that was formerly a hair salon and includes opening up the connecting wall with a 12-foot opening to create an additional room to house the official stage area for live entertainment, more seating, and televisions for sporting events.
The new room adds an additional 40 seats and a place for a dedicated private dining space. The current dining area was redesigned to eliminate the stage and add more community and high top tables, similar to what is used at the Sullivan’s Island location.
There are also five large TVs and a new sound system and stage. Home Team BBQ will also expand the front and back patios to increase seating in both spaces which will be complete sometime this fall.
“We have always wanted to have the entire building for our West Ashley location and we are excited to see this opportunity finally come available to us,” said pitmaster and owner Aaron Siegel. “We will now have a dedicated stage and a place for private parties, something we get requests for daily.”
