On Monday, Aug. 15, what would have been Julia Child’s 104th birthday, The Glass Onion will host its annual celebration dinner in her honor. For $45 per person, diners can enjoy a special three-course menu for the night. There will be optional French wine pairings for $25 per person. (See menu to the right.)
Child is recognized for bringing French cuisine to the American public with her debut cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and her subsequent television programs, the most notable of which was The French Chef, which premiered in 1963.
“Our team and guests really love the annual Julia Child Dinner,” said Glass Onion owner and chef Chris Stewart. “The kitchen staff gets to revisit her popular books to find great recipes for inspiration and we get to do a totally different menu each year—and from our daily southern focused offerings. Our front of the house team dresses up and we serve delicious French wines—what could be any better.”
