Weekly Wednesday Wine Strolls at Middleton Place originally began as a way for visitors to experience Middleton Place in a slightly different light and a different atmosphere. But the popularity of these strolls have made it a favorite activity among West Ashley locals wanted to have some wine amidst the natural beauty of the 273 year-old plantation, which boast “America’s Oldest Landscaped Gardens.”
The fall series of the Middleton Place Wine Strolls returned last month and are held every Wednesday through October. Guests sip and stroll in the gardens while sampling specially selected wines from around the world.
Starting this week, Wine Strolls are going Pink on Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22. Guests are encouraged to support the Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing pink each week. A portion of proceeds will be donated to local cancer awareness organizations. Closing out the stroll season on October 29, the Middleton Place Restaurant will present the festive Masquerade Wine Stroll Finale.
Wine Strolls are $20 per person purchased in advance online and $25 per person at the gate. The special Masquerade Wine Stroll Finale may be individually priced. Members of the Middleton Place Foundation receive $5 off. For more information on the Weekly Wine Strolls, call 556-6020 or visit www.middletonplace.org.
