Got a dollar? You can get a record — and a pretty good one at that – at Monster Music this Saturday, March 15, during their biannual Record Expo. And if you have a few more bucks on hand, you might be one of the few lucky ones to snag some of the rare collectibles that will be available both from the event’s 20-plus vendors as well as from the Monster main store.
From 10 a.m.-5 p.m., booths and boxes of vinyl will be available for perusing and purchasing at Monster, as well as in an adjacent building located next to World Market in the West Ashley Shoppes Shopping Center. Vendors from as far away as Detroit and Pensacola, Fla., will be offering a full range of record types and genres, as well as record-related merchandise.
If you’re planning on making a day of it or want to get some browsing in during lunch, Moose’s Mobile BBQ will have their famous red barn food truck in the Monster music parking lot offering everything from Pulled Pork Tacos to classic Pulled Pork Plates and Moose’s Mac n’ Cheese topped with pulled pork and crushed corn tortillas.
The 7th Annual Charleston Record Expo is free and open to the public, and Monster Music is offering ten percent off all vinyl sold that day. Monster Music is located at 946 Orleans Rd in the West Ashley Shoppes Shopping Center. For more information, call 843-571-4657, visit www.monstermusicsc.com or check them out on Facebook.
