The West Ashley man accused of robbing the TD Bank at 504 Folly Road on April 11 has been connected to two other bank robberies that occurred Feb. 10 in West Ashley and April 8 on James Island.
Yohanan Hezekiah Corder, 29, of Lolandra Avenue was arrested April 16, 2015 for the bank robbery at 504 Folly Road.
Police have now charged Corder with robbing the NBSC Bank at 1870 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. in February and the NBSC Bank at 337 Folly Road in April. Corder is charged with three counts of entering a bank with the intent to steal. He is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
In all three robberies, a man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He never produced a weapon or implied that he was armed.
Surveillance video from the April 11 robbery helped detectives identify the suspect by the type of clothing he wore and the vehicle he drove from the scene. Search warrants executed at his home provide detectives with evidence that linked him to the other robberies.
The investigation is ongoing.
