Save a Dog and Look Good Doing it

Anne Bonny’s Waxing Studio owner Jennifer Cuba is working one Saturday, every month until the end of the year, doing eyelash extensions. Her goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of the year to benefit the Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand. The organization helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Thailand. It’s aim is to set an example for the Asian region on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and to better the lives and living conditions of the stray dogs and feral cats of Asia.
Soi Dog is desperately trying to make the dog meat trade illegal. If it can recover a truck full of dogs being sent to Vietnam, it house them, spay/neuter, de-worm, and treat their injuries. Soi Dog sterilizes about 1,000 dogs and cats a month. It also struggles to repair the thousands of injured strays found everywhere. The dates for the Eyelash Extension Fundraisers are March 15, April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, Aug. 16, Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15, Dec. 13. Appointments are limited, so please call 225-2054 ahead to book and pay for your appointment. Anne Bonny’s Waxing Studio + is located at 829 D Savannah Hwy. (upstairs from Bashful Boutique).
