Cold fronts and northeast winds are becoming more and more frequent, ushering in some of the best fishing of the year. The fish is really get frisky in the grass at high tide and on the lower stages as well. The bait fishing is firing up big time, with double digits of reds being the norm rather than the exception. The best part of the year in the lowcountry is here and fishing will be stellar.
“I’ve had a lot of fly trips lately due to all the high flood tides we’ve had the past couple weeks,” said Capt. Hunter Allen, owner of Lighter Breeze Charters. “They’ve ranged from good to excellent and had some great days with most anglers getting at least 20 shots per flood tide.”
