Police were called to a West Ashley public school after a student presented what appeared at first to be an improvised explosive device in class. The device appeared to be a can wrapped in red duct tape, and had two metal wires extending from one end. Police inspected the device, found it to be safe, and after interviewing the student, returned it to him.

The woman’s father drove her from the hospital to her apartment, where her boyfriend attempted to block her from entering, saying, “I don’t know who you are or why you are covered in blood.”
