In response to the Dec. 14 cover story “Protecting Sully,” which was about a West Ashley mother’s efforts to have an offensive meme removed from the Internet that was created using a photograph of her 4-year-old daughter and then Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. It was in no way a story about Clinton. It was a story about the dangers of social media and how one local woman fought to protect her child in the digital age. This letter has been reprinted verbatim:
