From Germany to the United States, Lisa Cording has been playing tennis for years. As part of an organization in Germany, Cording was selected to become an exchange student here at West Ashley High School. Unfortunately, Cording’s time here in the US ends in June when she flies back to Hanover. However, she was a very great asset to the WAHS tennis team, earning the spot of Athlete of the Week.
Since she played in Germany, Cording decided to join the WAHS tennis team while  in the U.S. “I’ve played it for the longest time and the competition is so much fun,” says Cording. Cording finishes her career at WAHS with a 10-3 record. “She plays very consistently, always hustles and gets to balls you would think impossible,” says coach Jaima Kennedy.
