Caught Yellow Handed. Back From the Dead. Holy Water. These are among the imaginatively-named and distinctive hand-crafted brews from the Frothy Beard Brewing Company, which will soon be opening the largest indoor taproom in Charleston right here in West Ashley. But before the doors open on its shiny, new Sam Rittenberg Boulevard location, Frothy Beard is partnering up with The Middleton Place Restaurant for a very special beer dinner on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 6-9 p.m.
The event will be an intimate affair with family style portions served right at the table. It’s a perfect and unique “date night” or a congenial get-together with friends. Tickets are limited and are $70 each, but include an impressive five-course menu from the acclaimed kitchen of Middleton Place with each course paired with ambitious Frothy Beard’s local brews that promise to have “more adventure than your mouth can handle.” The dinner will be held in the Restaurant’s dining room.
Among the food offerings is a first course that includes a Trio of Sushi, followed by a second course of chicken Tagine with curried rice. The third course is pork spare ribs with potluck beans and cast iron shortbread. The final course will be rounded out with Andale mac and cheese with smoked beef short ribs and queso blanco. Pace your self – Porter Cake is still to come.
