The Glass Onion head chef and owner Chris Strewart is an eighth generation Alabama native. Growing up that close to New Orleans certainly has had some influence on his culinary journey and his restaurant is inspired by this southern upbringing and time spent with his family in the Big Easy.
Stewart and The Glass Onion celebrate Fat Tuesday in full-style with an authentic Cajun/Creole inspired menu items and cocktails for lunch and dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Featured menu items will include classics such as jambalaya, gumbo, po boys, crawfish monica, and a kingcake. There will also be Sazerac and French 75 cocktails offered and Abita Brewing Company cans for $2.
The restaurant will also be festive with Fat Tuesday décor and a little zydeco playing for guests to enjoy. Reservations are recommended for dinner.
