In the never-ending battle with West Ashley’s growing traffic demands, drivers might experience some nighttime slow-downs this week along Bees Ferry Road between Main Road and Glenn McConnell Parkway.
The ongoing county project will see road crews literally burning the midnight oil as they work on the Bees Ferry Widening Project during some of the least-trafficked hours.
Some lanes will be closed and some will be shifted between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. this week, in order to accommodate the work being done. Don’t worry; traffic will still flow, but through marked detours.
Planners originally scheduled the project to be completed by this time next year. So, be patient. For more information visit www.ccroadwise.org/projects/bees_ferry_road/index.php
