Chocolate Rain (The Bruery)
Possibly the best chocolate beer at the fest, and there were a few. This ran out every session and FAST. Chocolate double stout!
Brandy-barrel Aged Impreial Pumpkin (Lakefront Brewing)
Lots of pumpkin ales, few pumpkin lagers, and only one was brandy-barrel aged!
Dark O’the Moon (Elysian)
The beer that won me over at the 2010 GABF did not disappoint; rich stout brewed with pumpkin, seeds and cinnamon.
Chief Sawnee’s Stash Coconut Porter (Cherry Street Brewing Cooperative)
Coconut was roasted and nutty, not sweet and candy like. Made with dates and vanilla beans, rich and creamy.
Pliny the Elder  (Russian River)
Had it recently, and it was good, but I was left wanting. Had it fresh at GABF, wow, lives up to the hype.
Choc Lobster  (Dogfish Head)
Only at the GABF does DFH bust out a robust porter, the boil of which previously contained live lobsters. Briny and amazing.
Bacon & Eggs (Pizza Port)
Robust breakfast coffee porter, this was just amazing and made me crave breakfast at 8pm in the evening.
Last Snow (Funky Buddha)
Keep you warm in winter, coffee, cocoa, white chocolate, and coconut. Yep, all that and then some.
Zombie Dust (Three Floyds)
Just your classic old American pale ale, but maybe the best APA I’ve ever had.
Cucumber Saison (Cigar City)
My hatred for Florida melted away with this crisp, vegetable, and vinegary saison.
