A View From Above

Jericho, Inc. is proud to present Silks & Oils, a collection of recent works from Mary Edna Fraser. On Thursday, Nov. 12, the public is invited to the official opening of Silks & Oils at 815 Savannah Hwy. The evening will begin with an artist talk from 5:30-6:30 p.m. followed by a public showing until 8:30 p.m. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
Inspired by photography of landscapes captured from the seat of a plane, by boat, or by hiking in remote terrain, Silks & Oils debuts new batiks and oil paintings that were inspired by Fraser’s recent artists’ residency at the Sperry Chalet in Glacier National Park, as well as intimate Lowcountry scenes. Fraser’s art has been described as a graceful blend of modern perspective with ancient compositional influences, awash in color and light.
