Name: Ashleigh Bennett
Grade: Senior
Sport: Swim
Noteworthy Achievement: In her first meet back from a broken finger, Ashleigh qualified for the State Meet in the 50 Freestyle. At Saturday’s meet, Ashleigh placed 4^th in the 50 yard freestyle and 2^nd in the 100 yard freestyle.
“While on the injured list, Ashleigh worked hard at practice and was a good leader as one of the three captains this year.  She has been on the medal stand the last two years at State and is looking to return this year,” says head swim coach Brad Blake.
Name: Ryan Laban
Grade: Senior
Sport: Swim
Noteworthy Achievement: Ryan helped the team in many ways this week.  He won three out of his four individual races this week, receiving a State Cut in all four.  Ryan has also helped the boys medley relay and 400 free relay to top 10 rankings in the state.  At Saturday’s meet, Ryan placed 1^st in 200 yard freestyle and 1^st in 500 yard freestyle.
“Ryan and Ashleigh have been dynamic members of the team for several years now. Their successes in the pool on Saturday are just a small reflection of what they mean to the team. Their leadership abilities are visible as Captains and around the school,” says assistant swim coach Mary Anne Mouthaan.
